   This ancient Bighorn Sheep petroglyph

   is near Arches National Monument, Utah.

   Animals were often pictured as a prayer

   to the Spirits for a good hunt.

   To honor an animal by picturing it

   on the rocks provided the proper

   reverence prior to the hunt.

   It showed appreciation for a creature

   that provided food & clothing

    for the People.
