Fire Clan House

(The following story is included)

Betatakin (Ledge House in the Navajo language)

is a special place for the Hopi, descendants of the

Anasazi who lived here over 700 years ago.

Ancestral home of the Fire Clan, Ledge House

is the site of an artesian spring  providing pure

delicious water for over 1000 years.

With a protective alcove & ample resources,

it is a mystery why the Anasazi lived here

only 50 years or so.
