Text Box: In a loving world a child is enfolded and nurtured by its mother and she by hers. “Grand Mothers’ Love” is a tribute to the “grandness” of  love that keeps us safe and gives us a sense of place, a connection with our ancestors and hope for the future of our children. Many Native American cultures are matrilineal with a great respect for Mother Earth, the giver of all life. The stone wall in the background symbolizes the strength and will to survive, the need to build a future that is secure. The mother and her child and her child in turn are in the foreground to symbolize the fundamental importance of  life, love and continuity. Where would we be without Mother Earth?
Where would we be without our mothers?
Where would we go without our children?
Indeed, a mother’s love is the grandest thing of all.
