Text Box: This viga, or roof beam is from Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. The Anasazi who carried these Ponderosa pine logs up to 50 miles were determined to rise above the challenges of a harsh environment. This simple viga is a symbol of the strength we all need to do the best we can with what we have.
